Privacy Policy
This policy explains how C401 Studios ("we") handles information when you use Confessions Wall. Confessions Wall is an 18+ anonymous, 24-hour confession service. Anonymous means your email and account identity are not displayed to other users; it does not mean we collect no account data.
Information we collect
- Account data: your email address, Firebase user ID, generated handle, account creation time, streak, posting limits and moderation status.
- Content and activity: confessions, wall selection, votes, blocks, reports and report reasons.
- Security and diagnostics: integrity attestations, timestamps, function errors and limited technical identifiers processed by Firebase and Google Cloud to operate and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, show and rank confessions, enforce 24-hour expiry, prevent spam and abuse, process reports, block harmful content, operate account features, secure the service, diagnose failures and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
Google Firebase and Google Cloud process data for authentication, database storage, hosting, server functions, app integrity, logging and automated text moderation. They process information under their applicable data-processing and security terms. Information may be processed in countries outside yours.
Retention
Confessions expire after 24 hours and are removed by an hourly cleanup process together with their reports, moderation-queue copy and associated votes. This means final deletion normally occurs within roughly one hour after expiry. Profile and account data remain while your account is active. Operational security logs follow the configured Google Cloud retention period. We may retain limited information longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or resolving a live safety complaint.
Your choices and deletion
You can block authors, remove votes, sign out, or permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account and data. Account deletion removes your Firebase Auth account, profile, votes, blocks, reports and active confessions. You can also use our external deletion page. To request access or correction, contact us.
Age and safety
Confessions Wall is intended only for people aged 18 or older. Do not submit another person's private information. If we learn that an underage person has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.
